Sinabro (the “Company”) establishes and publishes this Privacy Policy regarding the processing of personal information of users of its mobile application, SimplyTodo (the “App”). This Policy applies to all users of the App.
1. Information Processed and Purposes of Processing
The App keeps a single to-do list. It requires no sign-up or login, and the Company does not collect any information that can identify you, such as your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials. The information the App stores is limited to what it needs to work: the text of each task you enter and when it was created and completed, the theme you have chosen, and which themes you have purchased. In addition, the purchase-management service described in Section 3 (RevenueCat) processes an anonymous identifier and your theme purchase history. The sole purposes of processing this data are to keep your list on your device, to apply the theme you have chosen, and to unlock and restore the themes you have purchased.
2. Where Data Is Stored
Your tasks and settings are stored in the App's local storage on your device, on both iOS and Android. The App itself does not sync your list to iCloud or any other cloud service, and the Company operates no server that stores your data and has no access to its content. However, if your device's own backup is turned on (on iOS: iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer; on Android: the system backup associated with your Google account), a copy of the App's data may be included in that backup. Such backups are controlled by your operating system and your own account, not by the Company. For details on data processing by the platform providers, please refer to the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
3. Theme Purchases (RevenueCat)
The System, Light, and Dark themes are free. The other themes are optional one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Purchases are processed entirely by the App Store (Apple) on iOS and Google Play (Google) on Android; the Company does not receive or store your payment details.
To confirm which themes you own, the App uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service provided by RevenueCat, Inc. Each time you open the App or return to it, the App checks with RevenueCat which themes you own, even if you have never made a purchase. For this, the App uses a random anonymous identifier generated by RevenueCat, which is not linked to your name, email address, or any account. The information RevenueCat processes is limited to what is needed to verify purchases:
- the anonymous identifier
- your theme purchase and restore history, as provided by the App Store or Google Play
- basic technical information needed to handle the request, such as the App and operating-system version, the store country or region, and the IP address of the connection
Your tasks are never sent to RevenueCat or to the Company. For details on RevenueCat's data processing, please refer to the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
4. Retention Period
Your tasks and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Completed tasks are removed automatically once the day on which you completed them has ended (after midnight in your device's local time). The Company keeps no separate copy of your data, so no Company-side retention period applies. Purchase records are retained by RevenueCat, the App Store, and Google Play under their own policies.
5. Third-Party Disclosure and Processing
The Company does not sell or disclose your personal information to any third party. However, to provide the App's functions, the following providers process data within their respective roles:
- Apple Inc.: processing payments through the App Store (iOS)
- Google LLC: processing payments through Google Play (Android)
- RevenueCat, Inc.: verifying and restoring theme purchases
Data processing by these providers is governed by their respective privacy policies. Device backups, where you have turned them on, are handled by your operating system and your own Apple or Google account.
6. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The App shows no advertising and does not embed any analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or external tracking tool. It does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it does not collect any advertising identifier (such as IDFA or Advertising ID). No behavioural data or usage statistics are transmitted to the Company. Where you have enabled the diagnostic-data sharing setting provided by your operating system (on iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements; on Android: the OS's usage and diagnostics sharing setting), anonymous, aggregated crash reports may be delivered to the Company; such reports contain no personally identifying information.
7. Permissions and Notifications
On iOS, the App requests no device permissions: it does not access your location, camera, photos, contacts, calendar, or microphone. On Android, the only permission the App uses is network access, which it needs to verify theme purchases. The App does not send notifications of any kind.
8. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, and restrict the processing of your own personal information. Because your tasks and settings reside on your device, you may exercise these rights directly through the App or through your operating system's settings. For requests concerning purchase records held by RevenueCat, or any other request that must be addressed to the Company, please use the contact details in Section 13 below.
9. Procedure for Deleting Data
Deleting a task within the App removes it from your device, and completed tasks are removed automatically once their day has ended. Uninstalling the App deletes all of its data on your device. A copy included in a device backup (iCloud Backup, a backup to your computer, or Android's system backup) is governed by your backup settings and may come back if you restore that backup; you can manage or delete backups in your device or account settings. Purchase records held by RevenueCat are linked only to an anonymous identifier; if you would like them deleted, please contact the Company using the details in Section 13, and the Company may ask for information needed to identify the purchase, such as an App Store or Google Play receipt. Your purchase history with the App Store or Google Play is managed under Apple's or Google's policies.
10. Security Measures
The Company does not retain your tasks on its own servers, which minimises the likelihood of your data being compromised through infrastructure operated by the Company. Data on your device is protected by your operating system's security features, and data related to purchases is processed on infrastructure subject to the security policies of Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
11. Children Under 14
The Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14.
12. Changes to This Policy
If this Policy is amended, the Company will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Where the change is material, the Company will provide separate notice, such as through an in-app announcement.
